Things we are doing to reduce our carbon footprint:

  • Promote renewable sources of raw materials and energy
  • Meet all environment legislations and apply effectively all rules set by Abu Dhabi environmental agency
  • Impliment a training program for our staff to raise awareness of environmental issues and enlist thier support in improving the company’s performance
  • Encourage employees to reduce the use of electricity and set their laptops on power saving system
  • Prefer to always deal with suppliers of the same mindset
  • Review and regularly audit our environmental practices to improve the overall performance and social responsibility 



One of the main objectives of Porcellan is to ensure a safe and healthy work environment to all employees and visitors.

The management strongly believes that all workrelated accidents can be eliminated should a company has a strategic safety plan.

To maintain safety and health standards Porcellan will continuously:

  • Eliminate waste through every stage of the production cycle
  • Assess the risks in the workplace and share written health and safety procedures with all employees
  • Guarantee that the workplace satisfies health, safety and welfare requirements for ventilation, slipping, temperature and staff facilities
  • Ensure that labors are aware of the risks of each machine used during the manufacturing process
  • Check the premises regularly for structural defects, electrical equipment and unsafe practices by employees and take necessary remedial actions
  • Make sure that equipments and tools are suitable for their intended purpose and are properly maintained and used by the required employees only
  • Use illuminated signs, warning signs, hand and acoustic signals to remind staff and visitors of any danger
  • Provide training for at least 30% of the employees to be aware of using the fire drills in case of fire
  • Teach the staff and new joiners how to act in case of a specific accident and make sure they know the place of the first aid box
  • Ensure that all members are aware of and carry out their health and safety responsibilities as set out in their job descriptions
  • Prohibit smoking on the premises where employees can smoke only in dedicated areas
  • Make sure dangerous substances are stored and used safely
  • Provide appropriate protective clothing for people working in the manufacturer or those who are entering dangerous site areas
  • Try to diminish noise pollution and work stress as both factors may affect on the employees' mental ability and health
  • Provide all staff with private insurance and advice them to conduct regular check-up even if they don't have serious illness

Guarantee that staff: 

  • Co-operate with the management on health and safety matters by acting responsibly
  • Use work tools and equipments as stated
  • Report health and safety concerns when necessary
  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others around them
